| Wow! Wow! Wow! This is one of the cleanest examples of Czech-style Renaissance revival, circa 1900s-1930s, that has ever passed through my hands. The unfoiled center stone is a bright cherry red, in an unusual shape. It is flanked by four double-faceted raspberry-red baguettes, prong-set. The sides are accented by garlands with deep red enamel leaves and white florettes. The red enamel is translucent, the white enamel is opaque. The fleur-de-lys shaped pendant bail is set with a tiny "ruby" stone for the perfect touch. The brass filagree appears to be gold-washed and is in great condition. The chain is 24 1/2" long. Pendant is 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" -- a substantial size. Pendant bail adds 1/2" to the length. I believe that the clasp is a replacement, but I am not sure, since I did not carry out the replacement. Here is an additional picture on a neck form. $158. |
